Charlie Weibel (Furbaz)

His career began in 1977 with a successful Swiss tour with the rock revival band Melody Breaker. Numerous gigs with many Swiss musicians followed. One of the highlights of his career was his participation in the musical CATS in Zurich as well as in numerous productions of the Lucerne Theatre. The Poland tour with Heinz Affolter's Acoustic Adventure1987 was very impressive. The gig with the pianist Eric Lee on the day of the fall of the Berlin Wall (9.11.1989) at the Kurfürstendamm in Berlin is unforgettable. And the appearances with the world-class boogie pianist Nico Brina in Switzerland and around the globe are very special: In Germany, Austria, France, Belgium, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, India and the Dominican Republic, etc.
Charlie's work as a drum teacher is close to his heart. His textbooks are popular throughout the German-speaking world and are appreciated for their systematic, easy-to-understand structure.
